Emergency Dentist

Prompt, compassionate care when you need it most

Dental emergencies can happen at any time, and we understand how distressing they can be. We strive to see emergency patients on the same day whenever possible, providing prompt relief and effective treatment to get you out of pain quickly.

What Constitutes a Dental Emergency?

Common dental emergencies include severe toothache, knocked-out or loose teeth, broken or chipped teeth, lost fillings or crowns, dental abscesses, bleeding that won't stop, and facial swelling. If you're in significant pain or have suffered dental trauma, contact us immediately.

What to Do in an Emergency

Call us as soon as possible - we'll do our best to see you the same day. For a knocked-out tooth, keep it moist (in milk or saliva) and get to us within an hour for the best chance of saving it. For severe swelling or difficulty breathing, go to A&E immediately.

Emergency Treatment

Our priority is to relieve your pain and stabilise the situation. This might involve prescribing antibiotics, providing temporary restorations, performing emergency extractions, or starting root canal treatment. We'll explain all options and ensure you're comfortable before proceeding.

Preventing Dental Emergencies

While not all emergencies are preventable, you can reduce your risk by attending regular check-ups, wearing a mouthguard during sports, avoiding biting hard objects, and addressing minor dental issues before they become major problems.
