Who Are We? Behind Form Dental
I'm Dr Lara Phillips, and Form Dental is something very personal to me. I was born and bred in Cambridge and have lived in Great Shelford since I was seven years old. After studying dentistry at Cardiff University for five years and graduating with honours, I returned to Stapleford and worked in Cambridge as a dentist.
Great Shelford and Stapleford have always been important places for me, so my husband and I decided to set up a local, family run, independent dental practice. We wanted to create a space where people could experience dentistry in a more thoughtful and comfortable way. Our aim is to provide care in an environment that feels calm and reassuring.
Form Dental has been designed to feel like a home away from home. The lighting is gentle, the features are soft and the atmosphere is as relaxed as possible. Many patients find that overly clinical spaces bring back memories of more anxious visits, so we worked hard to avoid that feeling. Instead, the practice has a warm, quiet character that helps you settle in from the moment you arrive.
We also chose to keep the practice small. With only two clinical rooms, it never feels busy or overwhelming, and it means you can expect focused attention from our team throughout your visit.
There is no judgement here. Everyone has their own story. You might not have seen a dentist for years, or you might have an excellent oral hygiene routine at home. Whatever your situation, we're here to help you take control of your oral health and to leave feeling confident and well looked after.

Calm and relaxed atmosphere right from the door. Friendly receptionist and a warm welcome from Geeta the dentist. Put my mind at rest straightaway about procedures and practices at the surgery. Geeta explained everything in detail after an examination of my teeth that was probably the most explorative check I've ever had in all my years. No hard sell and a genuine authentic explanation of my teeth (and related oral health). High tech equipment and no uncomfortable processes to map teeth and gums. In my views this is a totally professional service that's almost worth looking forward to.
Form is everything that a dental practice should be! I was nervous before attending but Laura and Andrea were professional and kind and put me at ease. Highly recommended!
This is hands down the best dentist I have ever visited in my life. It's like being at a 5 star resort/spa. They take a great deal of care ensuring the patient understands the rationale behind the treatment plan and procedures. Their equipment is state of the art and the team working there are simply great. I am so happy to have come across this dental practice.
Wonderful experience at Form Dental from start to finish. Welcoming receptionist in a calm, tranquil environment, followed by the most informative, caring yet professional hygienist appointment with Teresa, that I have ever experienced. So attentive to individual needs and concerns, including demonstration of correct flossing and brushing techniques. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Recently found this dentist and from walking in the welcome, the service and as you are leaving all is 10 out of 10. Gita (Dentist) is by far the best I have come across, takes time to explain all you need to know and with genuine care, and of course Andrea (assistant) also top notch. Together they are number one in the business. Highly recommend
