Fixed retainers are thin wires bonded to the back of your front teeth, providing constant retention without the need to remember to wear anything. They're completely invisible and work 24/7 to keep your smile straight.
How Fixed Retainers Work
A thin stainless steel wire is bonded to the tongue-side of your front teeth using dental adhesive. It holds these teeth in their corrected positions permanently, with no action required from you.

Care Requirements
Fixed retainers require careful oral hygiene. Plaque can build up around the wire, so thorough brushing and use of floss threaders or interdental brushes is essential. Regular hygienist appointments help keep them clean.
Longevity and Maintenance
Fixed retainers can last many years, but they do occasionally break or come loose. If this happens, contact us promptly - teeth can shift quickly without retention. We'll repair or replace the retainer as needed.

Geeta explained everything in detail after an examination of my teeth that was probably the most explorative check I've ever had in all my years. Welcoming receptionist in a calm, tranquil environment, followed by the most informative, caring yet professional hygienist appointment with Teresa, that I have ever experienced. So attentive to individual needs and concerns, including demonstration of correct flossing and brushing techniques. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Recently found this dentist and from walking in the welcome, the service and as you are leaving all is 10 out of 10. Gita (Dentist) is by far the best I have come across, takes time to explain all you need to know and with genuine care, and of course Andrea (assistant) also top notch.
