The gold standard in cosmetic veneers — ultra-thin, lifelike, and built to last.
IPS e.max is the material of choice for patients who want veneers that are virtually indistinguishable from natural teeth. Made from lithium disilicate ceramic, e.max veneers combine exceptional strength with the translucency and fluorescence of real enamel — so they catch the light just like your surrounding teeth. They can be prepared to an extremely fine thickness, meaning minimal removal of natural tooth structure.
This treatment is ideal if you
We assess your teeth, discuss your goals and show you digitally what e.max veneers could look like. We confirm suitability and plan your smile design.
A fine layer of enamel — as little as 0.3mm — is gently removed from the front of your teeth. Temporaries are placed so you leave the same day with a smile.
Your bespoke e.max veneers are crafted by a specialist ceramist and shade-matched with precision to blend seamlessly with your natural teeth.
Temporaries are removed, your e.max veneers are carefully fitted, adjusted and permanently bonded for a beautiful, lasting result.
Most ceramics used in dentistry are either purely aesthetic or purely strong — e.max achieves both. Its lithium disilicate structure gives it a flexural strength of around 400 MPa, while its internal crystalline structure creates natural light-scattering that mimics real enamel far more convincingly than conventional porcelain.
Because e.max can be fabricated at such fine thicknesses, some patients are suitable for no-prep veneers — where no enamel is removed at all. This is ideal for patients who want a reversible option, or whose teeth have slightly reduced facial volume that benefits from additional ceramic thickness.
